The Practice of Chenrezig and Mitrayogin’s Mahamudra Instruction

December 4 - 7, 2025

Date and Time Details: ONLINE sessions December 4 to 7, 10am to 12pm and 2 to 5pm Pacific time

Location: Zoom

Suggested donation – $108.00

This four-day online retreat will explore Mitrayogin’s Vajra Verses on the Graded Path of Chenrezig, a concise yet complete map of the path from preliminaries to the perfection stage, and his direct Mahamudra instruction, Resting in the Nature of Mind (Semnyid Ngalso).

These teachings express both the heart of compassion (Chenrezig) and the non-dual wisdom of Mahamudra. They reveal how the tantric practice of Chenrezig itself leads to the direct recognition of mind’s nature.

Rinpoche will teach Mitrayogin’s Vajra Verses, a poetic condensation of the entire path, from refuge and bodhicitta through visualization, mantra, and the perfection stage. These verses carry the essence of Avalokiteshvara’s method, showing how compassion and emptiness are inseparable.

He will also give Mitrayogin’s essential Mahamudra instruction, Semnyid Ngalso “Resting in the Nature of Mind,” received in a vision from Chenrezig himself. In this teaching, the practice of compassion becomes the gateway to direct realization, where awareness rests naturally in its own nature.

Throughout the retreat, Rinpoche will guide participants in integrating these profound instructions through meditation, reflection, and daily conduct, showing how the practice of Chenrezig unfolds as the living expression of Mahamudra.
